Recce is short for a 'reconoitre'. This means going to the location and seeing if its the place you would want to film, there can more than one recce. When going to a recce there are some things you need to consider, below is a check list of all the things you need to think about.
A permit
If there is any parking
Sounds around the area
Neighbours
Restrooms
Any indoor sounds
If you need places that have electric's
Health and safety
Food and drink
The ground service
Weather on the filming day
If you only have a certain time slot
Space
One of the most important parts of a recce is taking lots of pictures,so the director and producer can chose what one they prefer, they can then go back and look at the pictures if they are visiting more than one place. Also taking lots of pictures with help them decide what shots they want use and who they would have to take for that shot.

Director - Production Role
A Director is someone that directs and guides the cast and the technical crew. They also control the artistic and dramatic effects of the film. Directors are responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of the film, ether under or above the film producer. The Director often has a vision of the film and it is carried out, untill that film is how they want it to be. Directors are also responsible for turning the script into a series of shots to create the film. They are also often involved in hiring key crew members; also they tell the actors what they have to act and how they want it done. Directors work closely with a lot of the cast and crew members. They often use story boards to illustrate how they want each shot to look, as it is easier to set up the camera angles. Directors also play a key part in the post production, as they work with the editor to ensure that the emotions of the actors are seen thought the shots, though out the film. Sometimes the director has an input on the sound mix and musical composition depending on how they would like the film to be and what moods they would want to create.

The Chase Task.
Working with me in my team was; Lauren Cooper, Caitlyn Whittaker and Bethany Wilson. When we was first given the chase task we all decided which roles that we wanted, as myself, Lauren and Caitlyn took media studies at GCSE, we thought it would be useful for us to have the roles that we thought everyone would be suitable for and we made sure everyone was happy with what they had to do. We all worked well together and there wasn't any disagreements, if one person had an idea we took it into account and if everyone agreed it would of been put in place.
My role in the team was actor 2 and the editor, as Lauren was the director she believed it would be best for me to do the editing as i had the most experience in it. Everything that was edited was checked over with her and if she didn't like it or thought it needed adjusting it would be changed to what she liked better. As Lauren was the director she made sure that everything went smoothly and everyone knew what they was doing and when they was doing it. Caitlyn was the camera man, so she would tell Lauren when the shot was ready and if it was okay or needed re-doing. Beth was the actor 1 in the team therefore was the person most seen on camera, also she made the power point with Caitlyn that was presented to the class.
How did you make this production
